RTX 5060 vs RX 9060 XT 16GB: which should you buy in India?

The RX 9060 XT 16GB leads the RTX 5060 8GB in the 2026 test suite below. That makes it worth shortlisting, but the right Indian purchase still depends on your games, required software and the actual difference at checkout. A faster card can be the wrong purchase if it consumes money needed to finish your PC.

What the newer gaming tests show

Tom’s Hardware’s hierarchy, updated 24 June 2026, reports these FPS results. Its testbed uses a Ryzen 7 9800X3D and DDR5-6000 CL30. Tests use native resolution, a game-dependent mix of High/Ultra settings, and no upscaling or frame generation. Raster results are an equally weighted geometric mean of 11 games; the separate ray-tracing suite contains eight tests.

These are the publication’s suite results, not PcPaisa benchmarks. A suite score is neither a minimum frame rate nor a promise for your game, CPU or September driver. Pick the games that could change your answer

Before comparing money, write down three games you expect to spend the most time playing. For each, record your monitor resolution, desired frame rate, texture setting, ray-tracing preference and whether you accept upscaling. Then find a matching test for each exact GPU.

Use those requirements as a filter. If a card does not meet the experience you want, a discount does not fix that mismatch. If both meet it, ask what the more expensive option would actually improve for you. Avoid paying for a setting you do not intend to use.

Check frame-time plots or low-frame-rate results as well as the average. Keep native rendering, upscaling and frame-generation results in separate rows; comparing different modes hides the tradeoff you are trying to assess. Watch for image-quality or texture compromises in the review, too.

For a PC that also earns its keep in editing, rendering or another application, check that application’s current GPU support and relevant tests before choosing. A gaming chart does not answer a software-compatibility question. Do not assume a feature works in your chosen application merely because the GPU’s marketing page names it.

Compare the bill you will actually pay in India

Open two exact partner-card listings and fill in this worksheet. Verify the model code and memory capacity from the card maker, then confirm the seller’s current offer. A category starting price or overseas launch MSRP is not your checkout total.

Add the card’s payable amount, delivery and required charges once, then add any necessary supporting parts. Compare the two complete alternatives. If a charge or required part remains unknown, label the total incomplete and resolve it before deciding.

The difference tells you what one option costs over the other. It does not produce an automatic buying cutoff. Match that spending to the games or application benefits you identified, and check what it would displace elsewhere in your build.
